Intro:

Welcome to this website which has everything you need for these legendary Technics SL-1200 & SL-1210 turntables to keep them up and running. This site covers everything you need to get your Technics SL-1200 & SL-1210 (Mk2 to Mk6) turntables working like new with original parts.

Whether you prefer to get them serviced professionally or if you are competent to carry out your own repairs, this site is your one stop shop and I am certainly able to help. Honest service with a professional code of conduct by the UK engineering council ensures peace of mind when booking your turntables in for a service.

Having purchased the last remaining stock of genuine discontinued parts, rest assured that I am able to continue providing a service using genuine parts where others may be unable to do so. All parts are in stock and on the shelf ready to fit meaning there is no waiting around to source parts.

Iconic status & Info:

The ever increasing value of the original models of these discontinued turntables is due to the precision Japanese manufacturing, and also partly due to the fact that they have true analogue VCO pitch control (with the exception of the Mk5G) which is what most DJs seem to prefer, and the most accurate when calibrated. (see the service section for more info). Also that they are on display at the London Science Museum, due to having an iconic status. All the more reason to look after your turntables!

The Service page is where you will find all the information on whats carried out, so you can look at booking your turntables in to be serviced and repaired professionally by a qualified engineer with a fast turnaround (even same day by appointment and spend the day here in Weymouth, Dorset). This will increase the value of your turntables even more especially if you choose to keep them original. The Parts Shop is where you can order parts online. And then theres the Tech Info page with various bits of information about these turntables.

About Me:

I have been working as both an electrical and electronic engineer since 1990 where I completed a full indentured apprenticeship. Having worked on and managed on a vast range of projects, I have gained a lot of experience and tacit knowledge in both electrical and electronic engineering. I have also since gained recognition with the Institute of Engineering & Technology, and the UK Engineering Council.

I am now an independant specialist engineer who carries out work servicing and repairing these turntables. Having been a DJ since 1987 I can certainly vouch for these turntables and their performance. Feel free to check my DJ site www.richie-t.com
